Our friend Jacob (Jake) Wulff has recently gone through one of the toughest couple of years of his life. His mother passed away in March of 2016, which left his family paying for her final expenses out of pocket, as she did not have life insurance. In October of 2017, Jake sustained a broken shoulder that took him out of work for weeks.
Now that he has just gone back to work, he was met with tragedy on November 12th as he received word that his father had been hit by an Amtrak train in a deadly accident in Jacksonville, Florida. Jake's dad was hit by the train while trying to save his dog, Astrid. He was the kind of person that would put his dog's life before his own.
Jake currently supports his wife and 2 beautiful daughters, but the weight of funeral costs and final expenses is resting solely on his family's shoulders.
As his closest friends, we felt it is our obligation to help him cover the costs, but we can’t do it alone. We need the help of as many people as possible so that Jake's family can afford the final expenses for his father.
Any amount will help us reach our goal and take the stress of the financial burden away from our friend and his family. No one wants to worry about money when they lose a loved one; especially not when it’s your mother or father. In Jacob’s case, he has now lost both parents within a little over a year and desperately needs support in this difficult time.
