Hi, I'm Jeanette.
I've been writing a book for some time now, and I'm almost done with the first draft. It's about what it means to love God in your day-to-day life.
ABOUT THE BOOK
While God’s love is a familiar topic, you don’t hear much about the flip side: how well do we love Him? Does He “feel the love”?
You might have also heard about people having different love languages. What about God? What's His love language?
This book explores answers to that fascinating question. It uses a conversational style, fresh (at times quirky) spiritual analogies, a good dose of humor, and lessons learned from my own journey. But it relies more on Scripture, Church teachings, and insights of the saints and early Church Fathers. The aim of this book is to inspire readers to shape their lives into a gift of love to God.
THE SITUATION
I have a signed contract with Ignatius Press, so the book will be published ... once I finish it. But right now my family needs me to make an income, so I'm considering going back to freelance work. Unfortunately, that would pretty much limit my book-writing to Sunday afternoons. I'd really rather complete it in a timely fashion, so I thought I'd see if I could garner enough support do that.

Between 25+ years working in Catholic publishing and her own interest, Jeanette has read hundreds of books on the faith, and has also attended many talks, retreats, and conferences.
As a freelance writer, Jeanette has published articles in Our Sunday Visitor Newsweekly, St. Austin Review, Franciscan Way, Voices, Faith & Family, New Covenant, and her blog "Where the Rubber Hits the Road." Besides professional teaching, she has also given retreat talks, led Gospel reflections and book clubs, and has been instructed and commissioned as a spiritual guide.
Jeanette and her husband, James, have six children, ranging in age from 3 to 22, five of whom live at home.
