This past June, Frank Di Nardi was experiencing terrible stomach pain. When the pain didn't subside, he went to the emergency room where they discovered two large masses in his abdomen.
In late July, Frank ( who most of us know as Frankie ) was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. In the months that followed, Frankie has been in and out of Hospitals. He has been seen by a multitude of Doctors and has had to undergo many different procedures. Frankie has had countless appointments.. appointments for blood work or X-rays; for referrals and follow-ups; and others for PETs and CATs.
Frankie has recently started chemotherapy. His doctors feel confident that if he continues with treatment, he should expect a positive outcome.
Remission may be in his distant future, But his current reality is a daily struggle. He continues to suffer from the pain caused by the tumors in his abdomen, and the side affects from chemotherapy (the nausea, extreme fatigue, fevers and night sweats, etc.) leave him bed bound for days at a time. All of this has left Frankie unable to work and provide for his family. Thus, shifting the financial responsibility onto his wife and family.
This is just the beginning for Frankie and his family. They have a long road ahead...But, they are staying positive and trying their best to look towards the future.
