Recently I read the story of charlie and the desperate attempts from her family to try and get her to grmsny. Charlie aged 12 has a rare form of brain cancer called DIPG DiffuThere are only 13 people in the U.K. That are affected and unfortunately for Charlie there is no longer anything more that they can offer in the U.K. In terms of medical care to save her life. The family have been offered treatment in Germany but unfortunately the fees don't come cheap. The family need to raise £40k in order to get Charlie to Germany for the treatment she needs and deserves.
After reading the story of Charlie I decided I wanted to try and help the family raise the funds.

I will be doing various fund raising events ect with different company's in the next few months but my biggest charity event that I hope will raise money and awareness is I will be traveling to South Africa to do a 76k run through Addo elephant park. The only national park in the world that can lay claim to having the Big 7 (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, southern right whale and the great white shark). The race is designed to test you both mentally and physically, the trails track the rugged Zuurberg mountains and beautiful valleys of the park.
I will be challenged to run on a wide range of terrain including single track trails, 4x4 tracks and old jeep tracks within the park itself, as well as some stretches of dirt road.
I will encounter a large number of river crossings, and will also face some challenging climbs.
I will be running in areas of the park that are home to a variety of wild animals, and you stand a chance of seeing animals such as kudu, impala, baboons, ostriches, bushbuck, black backed jackals, mountain reedbuck, red hartebeest, mountain zebra, warthogs and the largest antelope in the world!
You get 15hours to finish this race and I'm aiming to finish that race in the 13hrs, but if I finish that cross line I will be more than happy! If I manage to survive the race I will be doing a bungee jump(thd tallest bungee jumpin the world) this will be done at Bloukrans bridge. I will also do a sky dive the following day and a deep dive 30m were I will take all my equipment off.
All the above I will be wearing a Liverpool shirt as Charlie is a die hard Liverpool fan. I would like to state that I am an Evertonian so this alone is a big thing for me

My aim is to try raise awareness and and raise funds in order to get Jade to Germany.

I appreciate any donations every little helps
