What exactly is the Board of this building doing to contribute to Zoa's medical expenses and potential time she'll need to take off from work and school? You employ her and she got hurt on your watch, recorded by your building's camera's. I feel you owe it to all of the generous contributors to share YOUR commitment to Zoa's well-being, as I came here ready to donate and stopped because the building's board hasn't shared their intentions. She deserves YOUR support first and foremost.

I wanted to comment on questions about her Worker's Comp Insurance. Zoa is employed through a Security agency that we have hired and she will be covered through their policy.

Everyone ignore Erika's selfish comment she has no idea what she's talking about and this type of idiocy is exactly what we need to be standing up against. Posts like hers are taking people's attention away from the matter at hand which is this gofundme and money straight into Zoa's pocket. BOO ON YOU ERIKA!!

It is crazy how the top comment is from a non-contributor feebly attempting to justify her reasons for not giving. Some people are just filled with evil. Why even come onto the page if you are not going to contribute? It is a straightforward campaign to help an innocent victim of assault. I guess that is a question for the bored, cheap, and inhumane cretin known as Erika Napoletano.

Actually, I'm a contributor to the campaign -- go and scroll through. You'll find me, right about when the campaign was only at about $900. I made a donation after the board confirmed that Zoa would be covered under her workman's compensation insurance. Thank you for all of the harassing Facebook messages calling me names, telling me to do my research, and especially the hateful ones below. What I asked this campaign to do was entirely UNselfish -- sshare with the public how Zoa would be protected and covered as an employee of SOMEONE'S and it's impressive how many people attacked the fact that I sought out what the building was doing. Also, to the owner of the building who just sent me a nasty Facebook message asking me to delete my comment, that's not possible on GoFundMe. And I wouldn't. When you post a campaign asking for help, it helps to let the people you're asking to contribute money know what YOU'RE doing to help, as it sounded like she was your employee. It would have cleared a lot of things up for many contributors if you simply updated the campaign to say, "Zoa is employed through a security firm that we contract with to provide our building's security. We've been assured that she will be covered by workman's comp insurance." Even now, this information only exists in the comments. But my all means, please keep the vile and disgusting messages coming at me on Facebook in exchange for my question that it seems several people are glad I asked. Be well, Zoa -- and know there are plenty of good people in this world rooting for you. I'm delighted that this experience has shown an outpouring of support.

What I don't understand is people who continue to question/criticize others who feel compelled to help victims of crime/tragedy with financial gifts. I find it to be a beautiful gesture of kindness, compassion, support, etc. as is prayer and words of kindness, compassion and support. People become very concerned about what others are giving. BOTTOM LINE: If you don't want to give - don't... quit telling others what to do with their money.

What you need to do is file a workers' compensation claim. A Go Fund Me account is not what is necessary here. Under workers' compensation, this is a completely compensable case as she was in the course and scope of her employment. A Go Fund Me page is NOT the answer. I am a workers' compensation attorney and I am happy to answer any questions. People do not know about workers' compensation and do not understand it. This is the ideal situation for Zoa. She will be paid benefits while she recovers and her medical bills will be paid in full by the condo building's workers' compensation insurance carrier. Finally, once she is able to return to work, a settlement is negotiated between the insurance carrier and the attorney representing Ms. Zoa. the video was hard to watch...to see a woman hit that way, especially by a man his size, is sickening. despite this attack, she continued doing her job and even told Mr. Khan that she didn't want any monetary help and not to do this fund. He decided to do it anyway because of the type of person she is, so whether she can get workman's comp or not, this was something Mr. Khan and other tenants decided to do out of the goodness of their hearts and we have no need to comment on whether they should or shouldn't do this for her. It's their money and their idea...if i had it to give, i would contribute as well. Zoa, I am so sorry this happened to you and I hope that they find the guy that did this. To the individuals concerned whether or not a Go Fund Page is needed, we are giving because we want to and care. Workers Compensation will take care of her medical expenses but this giving is about love and humanity! Yes, it is much needed.
