Hi, my name is Tsukuru. Please allow me to tell you about my dear friend, Michiko.
I met Michiko-san through my activism; she spoke at several events that I organized.
As I got to know her, we became good friends. I feel very fortunate that I know her, because she is one of the kindest and most courageous people that I know.
As a single mother myself, I know how challenging it can be to raise a child on your own.
I know what it's like to worry about money, what it's like to not eat because you have just enough to feed your child.
If I had it hard, Michiko had it hundred times harder.
I also know how emotionally scarring it can be to have an abusive husband, because I grew up watching my own mother live through it.
On top of all that, Michiko battled an ovarian cancer six years ago. She survived the excruciating battle with the cancer after a surgery and a chemo.
These challenges never prevented her from providing her son with safety, security, and love. Watching the two of them together fills you with joy, for love is so abundant between them.
Now the cancer is back, and Michiko is doing everything to fight it.
Michiko-san deserves watching her son grow up. She deserves laughter, prosperity, health, and so much more, because she has given so much of herself.
Please help her restore her health, so she can share the beauty of her soul with many others for years to come.

Michiko Kato,  Fukushima survivor and no-nuke, Green energy, single mom activist needs our help to obtain healthcare to fight back against a serious stage of cancer.

Michiko was exposed to radiation in Fukushima-city during the meltdown and later evacuated to the US with her son Masayoshi, who was a toddler at the time. She faced many hardships including fight with an ovarian cancer six years ago, life at a homeless shelter, and raising her son alone. Despite these challenges, she chose to dedicate her life to educating the public about the dangers of nuclear and mistreatment of the victims by the Japanese government. Her courage in speaking out has inspired so many of us, and it is our time to support her so she can triumph over the cancer for the second time.

The Great Tohoku Quake and Tsunami on March 11, 2011 took the lives of over 18,000 people and caused the meltdown of 3 nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Currently, the situation at the plant itself is far from contained and posing risks of further environmental destruction, while the termination of government aid programs is forcing people to return to areas with dangerous levels of radiation.

Funds will be managed by Fukushima Support Committee on behalf of Michiko Kato.
