Leon Case

We are setting up a GoFundMe page for those that want to make a donation to Leon who lost his wife and his home in the mudslide Friday, May 18th.... here is a post from his daughter’s Facebook page..... Yesterday during the rain storms there was a mudslide at mom and dad's house. Dad was outside during the initial contact and had to walk through chest high mud and debree to get inside to get to mom. She was sitting in her recliner when it hit the house and she was thrown out on the floor. Dad was able to get her outside the front of the house but she wasn't able to go with him down the road to look for help. At this point, the garage which isn't attached to their house was still standing and intact. Mom said she would stay there while Dad tried to go for help. When Dad got about 15 ft from the garage another mudslide from the other side swept down and knocked the garage into the side of the house. It also swept him off his feet and took him down the hill of his driveway. He tried to get help for mom, but they were unable to get her out due to the all mud and they weren't sure of the stability of the house last night and she didn't make it. So, last night I lost my best friend. She was the best Mama anyone could ask for. Even today, if I called her needing anything, she was there. The world lost such a kind and gentle soul. I love you Mama. Please keep our family in your prayers, especially dad. He's really struggling with what happened. I've never in my life seen anything as devastating as their house was. It's so unreal. We walked in knee high to waist deep mud trying to get to the house to get her. There were trees everywhere. Dad made this trip 3 times trying to get to her. There was just so much mud and trees everywhere. It was impossible.
