Lectie Altman, a star athlete in our community,  we always wave and smile at each other when we cross path during training. When I heard about the accident on Facebook, I need to do something to help. This donation will help Lectie Altman pay for her medical bills, help her get back on her feet, etc. She is currently going through surgerys, we need to continue to pray for her. Let's all chip in and show her our support and help in any which way we can! Mahalo. Tinman

Below is a thank you note from Lectie’s parents:

For all of the people that know Lectie, and those of you who don't, your generosity is overwhelming. In these trying times it is nice to know that kindness still exists. Lectie has an amazing group of friends, and I am now happy to count all of you as ours.
Thank you
Jack & Nona

Hi, guys, it is time for another update provided by "Lectie's care team".
As of Sunday 2/11/2018, Lectie has now been in the hospital for 17+ days. It has been a long journey with more roads to travel. The good is that Lectie is making progress every single day. She remains at Queen's hospital constantly working hard. There is nothing easy about this. But, with all of you, she is making things happen, garnering strength and being the strong and powerful girl that we all know she is. It is both fitting and ironic that Lectie's team sponsor motto is heart and courage, #coeursports. She's certainly overflowing with that. And, with this week being Valentine's Day, love is all around and Lectie sends you all her love and thanks.

Some of you has been asking for an update, sorry that it took so long, here is an update from Michelle Hamilton Goldstein. She also sent three photos:

It has been 10 days since Lectie’s crash. The outpouring of love has been amazing!
It is fitting that today is national friend’s day, and appropriate to be sitting down and updating everyone on Lectie’s GoFundMe page (I’m sorry this has not been sooner, was using Facebook as the main communication, some of this may be redundant). I asked Lectie today if she would like to say anything and she said, she has so much to say beyond “Thank you,” but would like to do so in her own time and way. She’s limited in her typing right now but it will definitely be part of her future OT/therapy.
Over the past 10 days, Lectie’s life has been fought for, life has been put on hold, life has stood still while also being on overdrive, and life has changed. We are so grateful however, that there is LIFE! The fact that she does not have a brain or spine injury (or a scratch on her face) is a miracle, but her injuries are very significant and real and she sustained severe trauma. Lectie’s days have been filled with downs and ups, but each day she makes a new goal, and meets a goal. As we all know, Lectie is not your “typical” person and while the sky’s the limit, she also has a very long road ahead. Thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts, for all of you who have donated, sent messages, prayed, advocated, supported Lectie and have been there. The extent to which everyone has cared and reached out is truly a testament to the wonderful person that Lectie is. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers, as they are working!
