Lawrence Hazel Family Support Fund
This message comes to you with life-changing sadness and profound heartache. It quite literally hurts to write these words.
On July 5th, the Munford AL and TGPR family lost a giant among men.
Lawrence Hazel passed away suddenly at his home while he enjoyed his morning coffee, the quiet sunrise, and the smile of a good neighbor. He is survived by his wife, Betty, and sons Austin and Alan.
He was a loving husband and a wonderful father. Austin just finished highschool and will be starting college in the Fall. Lawrence often worked with Austin at the track and was extremely proud of the young man he is becoming. Lawrence spoke of his entire family with great affection every chance he got.
Lawrence loved his job, loved the track, and loved his customers with an energy that cannot be duplicated. He breathed life into this track and made connections with customers that will last a lifetime. We will find ways to honor and immortalize that energy so Lawrence will live on in our hearts forever.
Lawrence was a friend. A confidant. A trusted and loyal ally who we all were lucky to have known. Our world was better with him in it, and without him we will forever be changed.
We know that Betty will have financial challenges as she navigates this tragedy, including sending a child of to college and paying for final arrangements. We hope that the funds raised here will go towards helping Betty find some peace of mind while she finds her way into a new routine of life.
