Hi my name is Michelle, 

      I was a domestic violence victim who has overcome my past to bring a better future to other victims. Fighting to make sure other women and men are heard. Changing the naritive to embrace victims and teach abusers how to change their behaviors. To one person at a time change the world. 

      I was not born with a silver spoon more like a plastic spork. With a disabled mother and a father that left when I was five. Dreams of a better life just were not much of a reality. It was just square pizza in the free lunch line. 

          I decided to change my fate and work towards helping my community. I volunteered for two years with the YWCA domestic violence shelter. Where I helped women and men succeed in leaving  abusive relationships.

           On October 8th I get to continue to the next step of my work. To become a Family Attorney at Empire College.
         
             I have an AA with honors from Santa Rosa Junior College. Also a Certificate with Honors in Advocacy.

        I currently work with Disabled Veterans doing in home care for them. I also spend my nights working Lyft to try to make ends meet.
