Lavinia's Recovery from Botulism
My sister, Lavinia Kelly got botulism, a very rare, sometimes fatal food poisoning. It has caused her to lose all function in her body. She is not able to talk or open her eyes. I am trying to raise funds to help our family get through this really hard time. She has 3 children. Although she has medical insurance, she is no longer able to support her family. Also, her family spends every second they can at the hospital with her & could really use help with food, bills and so many other expenses. Every little bit helps.
Lavinia was discharged from the hospital yesterday! She will continue her recovery from home, praise God. She worked so hard to breathe on her own so that she could get out of there & be with everyone that loves her. She is still very tired & weak and will need care around the clock. Nurses, physical therapists & occupational therapists will come to work with her a few days a week as well. Thank you all, From the bottom of our hearts, for all of the love & prayers. We are so grateful & feel very lucky that she is still with us. It's all up from here!
