Amelia Hybel - College Fund

In Loving Memory of Lars Hybel

This note is written with a heavy heart.  This past September 27th, Lars brought his 11 year-old daughter to his O48 division soccer game to watch him play with his new team, Palatine Celtic 2. Unfortunately, during the game, Lars collapsed on the field and died leaving behind his wife Carla and daugther Amelia.


Sadly Amelia was standing on the sidelines as these tragics events unfolded.  One of Lars' teammates is a doctor and another is a retired police officer, both acted immediately; an ambulance was called, CPR was administered, and Lars was taken to hospital. Unfortunately all the efforts by his teammates and the paramedics were not enough, Lars passed away before reaching the hospital.  Lars died doing something he loved – playing “the beautiful game of soccer”, as he has always called it.

With Carla's blessing, his Palatine teammates are looking for your help and support to contribute to this college fund that has been set up for his beautiful daughter Amelia.
 
This is a devastating loss to his wife Carla, their daughter Amelia, all his family, colleagues, and friends. He will be dearly missed and loved by all.

Lar’s was a wonderful presence, who provided a positive influence on the lives of family and friends.  He was a loving and dedicated husband and father, who was passionate about sharing life’s experiences and playing soccer.  He and his family had only relocated to the Palatine area in the last couple of months, so we are hoping to help them through this difficult time and trying to provide some help for the future.
