Larry was a NCAA gymnast from Carmel, Indiana who trained and competed under coaches Chad Ford and Jeff Greene at DeVeau's School of Gymnastics.  He was a three-time national qualifier, placed second overall on vault and 56th overall in the all-around at the 2011 Junior Olympics National Championships.

Went on to compete at The Ohio State University achieving personal bests in Vault - 15.800 and
Parallel Bars - 13.900.  His academic acheivements include Two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection  and
Three-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.

Mayer was struck by a 18 wheeler in Columbus, OH on Thursday, April 13. He sustained major head injuries and skull fractures. Late last week he had 2 surgeries to help with the swelling in his brain and to stablize his skull.  Sadly, Larry passed away today.

His former teammates, friends, and their families from Deveau's in Fishers Indiana  are raising these funds for Larry's final expenses and to set up a scholarship fund in his name.  His family will have access to utilize the funds as needed to settle outstanding debts and to set up the scholarship.
