Lakyn was born on 6/5/18, her parents had been reassured throughout the pregnancy that she was perfectly healthy. However, several hours after her birth her oxygen levels dropped without explanation..she was soon diagnosed with several severe congenital heart defects, including pulmonary atresia (an absence of the pulmonary artery which renders her unable to oxygenate her blood). They airlifted her to Cincinnati which is 3 hours away from home for her & her family. She Is currently stable & awaiting surgery. Her parents want nothing more than to be able to stay with her during this time, but due to this being an unexpected circumstance they are struggling to stay afloat, especially with 3 other children to provide for.
