The City of Fairfield has been going through an economic downturn for some years now.  Recently, several City employees have been laid off, in order to save money for the city.  It is the holiday season and these employees have no income to pay bills or to buy food or gifts for their children and families.  The Fairfield Fire Department along with city employees are helping these employees and their families.  We want to raise $20,000 to be divided amoung approximately 18 employees.  These funds will help to ease their burden during this crisis.  They will be able to pay bills and buy food for their families.  No one should be stressed out over the holidays and especially when circumstances are beyond their control.  We thank you all in advance for your contributions and please know that these funds are going towards a good cause to benefit those in need and we couldn't do it without your support.  Happy Holidays!
