Hi there I am Lagertha, which is my name for work. And I am the direct recipient of this campaign, which will be paid out to my bank account in my legal name. I was encouraged to start this page by friends in the community I work in, so they and anyone else who wants to can help me in my genuine time of need and stay anonymous if they wish too.
I have been left destitute following separation from a financially abusive partner. So all funds raised here are to keep my home and pay the bills I have been left with - more detail is in the second to last paragraph about my minimum monthly expenses. The contributing factor to my financial hardship, is that Tax Credits have cancelled all payments after notifying them of the separation. And I now have a long wait with no money over the christmas period for the application of universal credits which replaces tax credits to be processed. To add insult to injury I'm already a whole month with no money thanks to the actions of my ex - who as you can probably tell is no longer a part of my life.
I plan to withdraw the funds raised as and when enough is made to cover the mounting debts, anything extra made will go towards building my business so I can become financially independent again.

My life has hit a crisis. I have finally split from my husband for many reasons and he is moving out this weekend. The main reason, being that he has forced me into the worst financial hardship I have ever experienced. He didn't go to work for a month - now more than a month; and didn't make any effort to sort anything out, regarding visiting the doctor or giving work sick notes etc. There is much more to the story.
Yesterday 5/12/18, I contacted tax credits to inform them of the changes. They cancelled all future payments and told me I can no longer make a new tax credits claim, because universal credit has taken over in my area. This means I now have a 6 weeks wait to maybe get any money from them, I could apply for the loan advance but then they will be taking it back off me from anything they might grant me in payments.
I've never been comfortable with loans, and especially at a time where I have no idea if or when I can pay it back.
Last night I hit my lowest point so far, realising I now need to ask for help. I've been putting it off for over 5 weeks now. But having finally had the courage to end the destructive relationship. I felt I had no other option at the moment, than to share my story and ask for help.
So I'm in the situation where I have no income at all at the moment, nothing from tax credits, nothing from the ex, waiting on the unknown of universal credit. And relying on anything I can scrape together from the wider community. If you are able to donate I would feel very touched by your generosity.
I've reduced bills and cancelled non essential spending, but I still have to pay out a minimum of £639 monthly on just my bills; that is before food, long term heath condition medication and fuel for the car.
I don't have the luxury of a family that can help, so thank you to everyone and anyone who helps me. You truly no idea how much I appreciate the help.
