Louisiana Cheer Force Flood Relief
$8,972 of $45,318 goal
As friends and fellow cheer parents we have done everything we can to assist our teammates by providing shelter, clothing, meals, laundry, labor, hugs, tears and even a little laughter. Many of the affected families expressed concern about the reality of their kids being able to continue cheering this season. As we all know, there is an expense associated with competitive cheer and at a time when many of these families are rebuilding their lives, paying for cheer understandably takes a back seat to the family's needs.
We want these athletes to have a sense of normalcy in a world that has become anything but. Not only did they lose their homes and all their personal belongings, many of them have been forced to change schools as a result of damage to their school buildings or family relocation. With that in mind, we are hoping to raise money to help them.
So we are coming to you, the cheer community, to help us in our endeavor. We are working to get an exact number of athletes who have been directly impacted by the flood, but at this time we know it is at least 30.
The devastation here in Louisiana is all too real. The cheer community has always been known to come together in times of need and this is one of those times. Every donation makes a difference and 100% of all of the money collected will be split between the LACF competitive athletes whose homes were flooded. Thank you in advance!

***Some people have asked about sending gift cards in lieu of a donation and those would be greatly appreciated too. Please contact me for information on where to send them. These will distributed immediately upon receipt and the amounts will be included in our overall total.***
I have really become at a loss for words when it comes to expressing my gratitude for these gyms who have walked along side us in this effort. So, I will share the words of one of the parents who has been blessed by all of you...
"We are overwhelmed by the generosity of people both near and far who have contributed to the cause. It isn't easy to ask for help and sometimes even harder to accept it. This has been such a roller coaster of a ride for us and we know the journey home will be a long one. However, people like you, who have gone out of their way to make a difference, make the journey a little more manageable. So please know that when we say "thank you" it means so much more."
We are very swiftly approaching October 1st which is when we will close the campaign to be able to begin dispersing funds to our athletes. If anyone would still like to donate after that time, we have set up a separate account in which all of the collected funds are being deposited. Please contact me for more information on how to donate to that account. Thank you again for your continued support!
Also, after the amazing half time show at the LSU game last week, I received some emails about wanting to purchase #unBRoken t-shirts so I have relaunched the t-shirt fundraiser until THIS SUNDAY. So if you missed the first order and want to purchase one, please be sure to do it before Sunday. Our first order raised $1,515 for our families!!

Thanks so much!
As one of the ones that flooded, I felt I had to leave a comment to express our appreciation. This video brought tears to my eyes. Such very special people out there and the love and support from everyone is truly what is helping all of us and our families get through this. My daughter had a rough first day back at school so the school counselor talked to her about the flood and how she was upset about losing her things and home. The counselor then asked her to talked something positive in her life and of course she talked about CHEER! They talked about how much she loves it and how she dreams of being a Cheer Coach one day. Cheer means everything to my two girls and is giving them back some normalcy during this difficult time. So from the bottom of our hearts, Thank You Thank You Thank You! Lindsay
