La mattina di venerdì 9 novembre 2018 Marco Massano, un geometra di Rivoli (Torino), esce di casa per andare al lavoro, come aveva fatto tante altre mattine. Sua moglie Sara lo saluta affettuosamente, come ogni giorno, non immaginandosi mai che non l’avrebbe piὺ visto fare ritorno. Essendosi recato a fare la perizia di un immobile su incarico del tribunale di Asti, Marco viene ucciso a colpi di arma da fuoco dal proprietario dell’edificio, che temeva il possibile pignoramento della casa. Marco aveva quarantaquattro anni. Lascia la moglie, Sara Tonon, e tre bambini di sette, cinque, e un anno. Marco aveva la rara capacità di far sembrare qualsiasi problema gestibile con il suo grande sorriso, le sue battute spiritose e un generale approccio positivo alla vita. Ai suoi figli mancheranno la sua personalità giocherellona e le sue storie della buona notte. La sua dedizione e il suo altruismo mancheranno alla chiesa nella quale ha servito. Marco è un convertito della Chiesa di Gesù Cristo dei Santi degli Ultimi Giorni. Al momento della sua scomparsa stava servendo come insegnante dell'istituto di religione. Prima di questa chiamata, era stato vescovo di una delle congregazioni torinesi. Sara e Marco si sono sposati nel 2008 e ora Sara si ritrova vedova con tre bambini piccoli da accudire e crescere. In questo momento di grande dolore vogliamo che sentano il nostro affetto con un sostegno monetario per affrontare le molte responsabilità finanziarie che seguiranno. Se sei in grado di contribuire, in qualsiasi importo, o anche semplicemente se lo desideri, ma non sei in grado di farlo, grazie di cuore!

On the morning of Friday, November 9, 2018 Marco Massano, a surveyor from Rivoli near Turin, Italy, left his home for work, as he had done so many other mornings in his life. When his wife Sara said good-bye to him she never imagined that he would not return. While on a court assignment to appraise the value of a property in a town near Asti he was shot and killed by the owner of the building, who was fearing the loss of the house to foreclosure. Marco was forty-four years old. He leaves a wife, Sara Tonon, and three boys, ages seven, five, and one. Marco had the rare ability of making any problem seem manageable with his broad smile, witty jokes, and positive approach to life. His children will miss his playful personality, and his bed-time stories. The church he served will miss his dedication and selflessness. Marco was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. At the time of his death he was serving as a teacher in the institute of religion. Prior to this calling he had been bishop of one of the Turin congregations. Sara and Marco married in 2008 and now Sara finds herself a widow with three small children to raise and care for. In this time of tragic loss we want them to feel our love through some monetary support that will help them take care of the many financial responsibilities that lie ahead. If you are able to contribute, in whatever amount, or even if you wish you could, but are not presently able, thank you very much!
