Our campaign to support  those harmed by anti-epilepsy mediciations taken in pregnancy by mum began in 2012.

The Independent Fetal Anti-Convulsant Trust (INFACT) was set up to fight for justice and  financial support for those affected who suffer from Neurodevelopmental disorders (Autism etc..), speech & language, hearing and vision problems and physical disabilities etc...

Our intention is to ensure that all those harmed by these drugs taken in pregnancy recieve a Government Care Plan for there future years, especially when their parents are no longer here to do it for them.

So far our campaign has been a great success already having changes made the Yellow Card (reporting scheme) and influenced the update of information now entered into the NHS.

We need your support to complete our campaign for the children harmed, especially by Sodium Valproate, the worst AED known for its harm to the fetus, and make sure they are looked after and live a near normal life.  Our heart goes out to those families who have laready lost children to Valproate and other anti-epilepsy drugs and we hope you are willing to support our cause and help us help those who continue to suffer with Fetal Anti-Convulsant Syndrome (FACS).

INFACT, following many meetings with Labour MPs, are extremely proud the the Labour Party in their Manifesto agreed to a Public Enquiry into Valproate in Pregnancyn should the win the Election.  Any funding raised beyond £2000 would be used to continue our campaign to ensure this happens.

With all the recent activities within our campaign we are proud to uncover that, following meeting within the Labour party it has now been entered into their Manifesto that Labour would give a Public Enquiry into Valproate in pregnancy should they win the General Election.

Our next goal is to ensure that happens and any following funding kindly donated would help us to just that.

Help give the Valproate victims a voice through INFACT, your donations are vital to ensure the future of our children.

It seems a while since we last updated our members. Over the past couple of months time has been very scarce and meetings have multiplied.

Our last meeting was with the MHRA in January where the decision to add warnings to the Valproate boxes as well as the Patient Information Leaflets and new warnings by Drs and specialists were to go out as of the 8th February as part of their Communications Inititive, just in time for our FACSA week.

So this Phase 1 of the INFACT Campaign over, the warnings are clear and will be made widely known of to the public through media, social media and by other charities too on the 8th Feb.

From there onwards Phase 2 of the INFACT Campaign begins, and we are aware that Ministers are already considering the victims.

Phase 2 will be for the Financial Compensation the families and those affected need so badly to deal with every day life.

This is where your donations really matter, right at the heart of the campaign. Anyone wishing to do so can by clicking on the link and follow the instructions.

We are truly grateful to all those who have already donated, we would not have got this far without you or your support..!

Following the INFACT Rally at Parliament Sq last Wednesday 28th October, the campaign has definitely gone up a notch. With interest from tv and radio, and meetings with prominent Members of Parliament, there is even more reason for us to push .

We have received responses back from Ministers and at last the Goverment have taken it on board and are pushing to ensure EVERY women on Valproate is made aware of the risk when taken in pregnancy. Our hope now it that it continues with new doctors coming through and new patients being prescribed an anti-convulsant drug.

Although all this work is ongoing, it is always going to hard to financially keep up with the task at hand and afford the meetings which are constantly ongoing.

Once again, we want to thank all of you who have already kindly donated and have helped this campaign on it's way.

The next few months are going to be crucial and so all donations no matter how big or small are going to very important to us.

Thank you so much for your support.!!!

October is going to be one of INFACTs busiest months..! Finally we have the All Party Parliamentary Group underway with our first meeting on the 20th October to discuss direction following the response from the Health Minister.

Then on the 28th October we are holding our Westminster Rally where families are attending in support of the INFACT Campaign and can meet and talk to MP's about the difficulties they are finding and how this campaign can ensure that they receive the right help and support from Government.

Raising funds and awareness is never easy, so we are asking parents to help do both at once by asking for a Non-UNIFORM DAY at school. This is one of the easier channels to fundraise and any money raised for the pot of INFACT from here on in is going to used to secure the FACS childs life..!

Pls pass on via Facebook or Twitter the link to our Go Fund Me page gofundme/16jgkw so that the general public can understand our plight and hopefully donate too.

Thank you all..!!
