Blue Lake International Jazz Europe

Hello, my name is Benjamin Gunnett, and I am starting this fundraiser to help me go to Europe through the Blue Lake International Jazz program. I have been playing drums for 6 years and discovered my main interest was jazz music. I have attended Blue Lake for 4 years and this year I applied and was accepted to tour Europe with them in July of this year. To be accepted into this program, I had to be recommended by my cabin counseler and director from Blue Lake. I also did an interview with a Blue Lake representative, in which I had to describe why I would be a good ambassador for Blue Lake and my community. I have a 4.0 GPA, I am on the Cross Country, Swimming, and Track teams and play in multiple band programs through school. I also play the drums at two separate churches in my community. I'm very excited to go, not only to play jazz music, but also to learn about other cultures and meet new people. I will be playing in at least 7 different countries and staying with a new host family in every country.  This is an amazing opportunity and every donation will get me closer to being a part of this great experience.
