Kentucky Cuddle Cot Campaign
Giving the gift of time to families who experience stillbirth, neonatal death, or late miscarriage ( a baby born without a heartbeat or that passes shortly after ).
Kentucky Cuddle Cot Campaign aims to place a device called a Cuddle Cot in each Kentucky labor and delivery unit.
Visit our facebook page: ( http://www.facebook.com/kycuddlecotcampaign )
The cuddle cot is a device that contains a cooling unit, a cooling mat, and tubing that connects to a bassinet or moses basket. The mat cools the baby from underneath a receiving blanket so that the families can spend an extended amount of time with their precious baby instead of handing them over once death takes its toll on the baby's body.
This allows the family to bond with the baby and start the healing and grieving process in a better manner, and allows the family to keep the baby at the bedside for the duration of their stay in the hospital. It allows family that may be out of town to come in and meet the baby. It allows the family to have professional photographs taken of the baby from foundations such as Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep ( http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org). It can facilitate bonding with siblings, the possibilities and healing are endless with the cuddle cot.
From the time a family sees those two pink lines on a pregnancy test, you forever bond with your child. To hear "I'm sorry there's no heartbeat." is one of the most gut wrenching and heart breaking experiences one can have. To have essentially NO time with this child is even more heartbreaking. It can cause a lifetime of regret.
This cause is important to me because my own daughter, my second child, Emma Caroline Pace, was born forever sleeping on September 2, 2014 at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
We have placed 7 cots in under 3 years, and plan to place many more! There were only TWO cots when we started this campaign in October 2015. As it stands currently, there are more than 15 in the state! We still have lots of work to do but we started at the bottom!!!
Please join me in fundraising for this cause. I will be posting information here periodically to update everyone on the progress, but the majority of info can be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/kycuddlecotcampaign
We are raising this money through GoFundMe, we also accept PayPal donations ( email@example.com ).
ALL DONATIONS ARE SECURE AND GO DIRECTLY TO THE KENTUCKY CUDDLE COT CAMPAIGN BANK ACCOUNT AND ARE USED ONLY AND DIRECTLY FOR THE PURCHASE AND PLACEMENT OF CUDDLE COTS AND THE PROMOTION OF THE KCCC FOR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS ONLY.
Thank you for your time!!

We are working exclusively directly with Flexmort (manufacturer of the Cuddle Cot) with our orders which is a smooth and quick process now that we’ve established a business relationship with them. No more long waits like before.
All cots have been purchased and placed!! The money we have left over from the last cot purchase and the last t shirt Campaign and gofundme donations has been held for about 6-8 months because we have been at a standstill with donations and fundraising. It’s been locked safely away in the KCCCs account just waiting! But we are hoping to ramp things up since it’s getting close to Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month.
The KCCC is also spearheading an online KY based support group for loss families. Including an in person support group that we hopefully will be organizing to meet quarterly in somerset KY starting January, if everything goes well!
Any and all suggestions and ideas are open! Thanks for everyone’s continued support.
Just a short update. We are still at just under halfway to the purchase of our next cuddle cot. If you could please donate, any amount is appreciated the same whether its $5 or $500. We can't do this without you!!
we want so badly for families who lost their precious child to have the opportunity to spend as much time as humanly possible.
Put yourself in this situation, wouldn't you want this time? What if, god forbid, this happens to you or a person you know someday...will you regret not having tried to help others in the same situation?
If you know of or own a business who would be interested in donating any amount, or who would like to sponsor the 2016 Angel Walk (October 15, 2016) - please get them in touch with me...we can provide a tax deductible receipt...
PayPal donations can be made via firstname.lastname@example.org as well. Thank you!!
Share this campaign and make sure to tell your friends. You can donate monthly!! I am still about $1500-1700 away from being able to place the next cot, and so many hospitals desperately need this device...
Think if you were in the shoes we've been in...you would want this for you! We cannot do this alone!!
