A close buddy of mine Scott and his siblings had endured the worst family tragedy imaginable. His estranged father, stricken with a mental illness, alcoholism and depression, made good on years of threats of harming his own family:

The suspect (father) had maliciously taken the lives of my friend's loving mother, grandmother, injuring his uncle, before our brave police department stepped in for the attempted rescue, shooting suspect in the upper torso, which saved their mother from dying on the spot. Suspect died 5 days later. As if this loss wasn't enough, there was a family dog who was very attached to the mother and grandmother had also passed, blinded from the fire and unrecognizable from the severe burns from the fire. Mochi the dog, passed same day as my friend's mother.
This senseless tragedy has left a wake of heartache, anger, utter confusion, guilt and a myriad of feelings his younger siblings and he himself are yet to process. Amidst this horrific period of their lives, they now need to prepare funeral arrangements for their mom and grandmother, which were never financially prepared for.
Those blessed with Scott's friendship know that he's a humble yet proud individual, a true "shirt off his back and give it to you" type of guy, who would never ask anyone for any type of help, unless he truly needed it. At this time, he is forced to reach out to friends, remaining family, and those willing to offer any type of support to please donate to funeral cost so he and his siblings may honor them with proper burial and lay them down to rest in peace.
May God protect you and your loved ones each and every moment, and always remember to tell those you care about just how much you truly love them!
Much Love & Light,
Scott, Vivian, Judy and David
