Kuster & Segura (Nathaniel Kuster and Jorge Segura) will be performing exciting, vibrant Andean music at the National Flute Association Convention (August 2018) in Orlando, Florida!
Nathaniel Kuster plays the ancient wind instruments of the Andes Mountains. Jorge Segura plays the charango, a ten-stringed instrument invented in the Andes Mountains.

The music of the Andes goes back thousands of years, originating with pre-Inca people. It is widely performed today. It is very popular with people all over South America. Now the music will be performed at the NFA Convention in person! Be part of a movement to preserve ancient music from America, performed just as it's always been performed, acoustically.
Nathaniel (nathanielkuster.com) learned to play the quena (known as the Andean flute) as a child in Lima, Peru. He is a virtuoso on the quena and other wind instruments of the Andes Mountains. Jorge, of La Paz, Bolivia, is a virtuoso on the charango (a ten-stringed instrument of the Andes Mountains). Together, Kuster & Segura are an electrifying duo. Their love for the music they perform is palpable. You can tell how much they enjoy sharing it with the world.
In 2007 Nathaniel traveled to Albuquerque from Bolivia to give a very well-received workshop on the wind instruments of the Andes Mountains at the NFA Convention. His stage name was Chichi Perez.
Nathaniel and Jorge are very happy to be able to perform for fellow members of the National Flute Association, the largest association of flutists in the world, at their annual convention.
The funds raised will be used as follows:
$700: flight to Orlando
$875: hotel
$355: convention registration
$375: food
$300: miscellaneous expenses
