KSQM is moving!

Tax deductible
You're tuned to KSQM 91.5 Sequim...
Since 2008, these words are heard every hour on commercial free, listener supported community radio. They are spoken by Dennis "Rick" Perry,CMDR, USN (ret,) who founded this radio as he saw the need for an emergency broadcaster in Sequim.  Establishing a community radio station is no easy task, and keeping one going is even tougher.  Keeping this going requires commuinty support, listener contributions, and the precious time and treasure of dozens of unpaid volunteers - all of whom gladly share themselves with the community through KSQM.  The friendly voices, the comfort of hearing America's songbook, and the peace of mind knowing that a there will be a reliable source of information should there be an emergency all feel like a warm hug.

As a result of many circumstances beyond our control, we are now faced with a need to move our location.  This will require funds for everything associated with a move - signing leases, physically moving office furniture, computers, technical equipment, painting and tenant improvements, and so much more.  Almost all of our equipment and such can move with us, but a few things will need to be upgraded or replaced.

All of this requires money.

As I mentioned before, KSQM is a community radio station, and we rely on listener contributions, business underwriting, and the tireless support of our committed volunteers.   We are commercial free, do not sell advertising, and operate as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation registered in Washington State as a charitable organization.  We aren't raking it in over here.  We pinch every penny, squeeze every dime, and sweat every dollar.  We've been fortunate to receive enough generosity to keep the lights on and the music flowing, but not much extra.

This is were you come in.

We need your financial support.  Moving to a new location will require additional funding beyond what's required to operate the station.  It's a unique situation we find ourselves in currently.  It's both exciting and a little daunting.  We completely embrace this challenge because it will bring improvements and expand our ability to serve.  Our hard work plus a little bit of your cash = outcomes we can all be proud to support.  Win/Win.

If you can responibly spare some money, you are committed to the idea of community, and you want to help us do something durably great, we need you now.
