Kokua Kalani

My name is Shadi Ramey.  I met Kalani back in December of 2014. He was larger than life in everyway! Strong, fierce, outspoken, big and tall.  I loved him right away; his zeal for life, his brave activist heart and most of all - his gift to connect with people from all walks of life. He was love. He is love.  I was distraught when I heard that he had fallen ill in the Spring of 2015.   I'm sorry to say that I was busy with my own life and didn't pay much attention to Face Book or other social media and I wasn't really "friends" with Kalani and so I didn't really understand the serious nature of his illness.   I  did hear about him from time to time from mutual friends.

I met Kalani again in August of 2016 at the International Bread Fruit Conference on Oahu, Hawaii.  He and his beautiful wife, Julie, touched my heart in immeasurable ways. Their love is amazing to witness. It is the love that tests, the love that squeezes and the love that grows in the shade of macadamia trees. One of the most important goals in my life right now is to help Kalani and Julie.  There is hope.  There is a place with world reknowned experts who might be able to help Kalani.

There is hope. There is an amazing place with outstanding physicians that might possibly be able to change his life. He might be able to find relief and not live in daily pain.  My goal is to help Kalani to have this opportunity. To spread love and ask for help.  We might be able to save Kalani!  I have to believe that we can.  Afterall, hope is what makes us wake up and face the dawn after our darkest hours. This his is what our human family is all about.

There are over 7 billion people on this planet. Luckily we only need 300! We need 300.  (Remember - It was 300 Spartans who gave 10, 000 Persians a run for their money.)  We only need 300 people to send in $100.  Please choose to spend $100 on Kalani instead of Whole Foods, shoes you don't really need or other bullshit.  Let's change the lives of a beautiful couple by giving a small amount. Let's be altruistic.  Be the change. Be love.  May the blessings flow.
With love, gratitude and hope or Kalani -
Shadi

What We Are Raising The Money For:
Kalani has a debilitating neurological disease that needs treatment and he has the opportunity to go to Sanoviv Medical Institute. Sanoviv Medical Institute is a state-of-the-art, fully-licensed hospital that offers a unique blend of conventional, alternative, and integrative programs. They have had a lot of success with their treatments of neurological issues.

Learn More about Sanoviv:
Here is a link to their website:

As far as specialized treatment centers go, it is reasonably priced, however it is still expensive. We are requesting help to offset the cost of treatment.

If you have any questions or would like more information about Sanoviv my coordinator, DJ, is happy to answer them. Her direct line is [phone redacted] or you can call [phone redacted] ask for DJ and she will return your call.

How We Will Use The Funds:
We are raising money to get Kalani to Sanoviv for their Neuro Repair program, where they can find and treat the underlying roots of the autoimmune neurological syndrome that he is experiencing.

Why this means so much to Julie and KalanI:
Kalani is a warrior who has given his life to help humanity, he now needs our help so he can continue to live, heal and thrive.

How Thankful We Will Be:
We are eternally grateful for all your help in supporting Kalani in his healing process.
