Sadly, as most of you know Kofi lost his father less than a year ago. Beside his soccer family he has no immediate family here. His mother is in Ghana and traditionally, we will have to ship his body back to Ghana.

We are collecting funds to assist with burial services as well as transport his body back home. As a means of support I will be taking up donation to assist with the financial burden of such a loss. Please do not feel obligated to make a donation, and there is no minimum amount. Any assistance you can provide would do a world of good for Kofi and his family. Thank you!

Kwaku Adu-Gyamfi from Ghana played for Richmond Kickers and have been coaching in Richmond for over 15years. I have known Kofi Nti for over 10 years. I raised Money to support Kofi Nti when his father died less than a year ago and I'm doing the same now because I know his mother will like to have his body home for proper burial. The support from our soccer community has been amazing and that gives me great comfort and I'm sure it will do the same for the family to know Kofi was well loved.. Kofi's older sister Rebecca Nsiah is here and I have been working with her to resolve all Kofi's affairs.. Big thank you to the kickers organization for their support..
With Rebecca's approval, i will be withdrawing the money to my account and working with her to take care of kofi's affairs

Coach is too simple a word to use when referring to Kofi because he was so much more, a mentor, friend and confidant who truly loved what he did and his passion was such a positive influence in so many young and old lives alike. Kofi truly cared so deeply about every child he has ever coached - he treated each and every one as if they were his own. He listened, encouraged, developed, supported and challenged without judgement, he was one of a kind; that is why his name is and always will be spoken with great admiration and respect. He left an imprint on all who have had to privilege to call him coach. To say he will be missed by both players and parents is an understatement. His shining spirit and big bright smile will never be forgotten - his spirit will forever be a part of each and every one of us and will always be there on the pitch...rest easy my friend... your legacy lives on.

Kofi was a very important part of our son's early soccer development and as you can imagine, we too are very saddened by his passing. Kofi was not just our son's coach and trainer, but he was also a great mentor. Our deepest condolences to Kofi's family, friends, and the RVA soccer community.
