Toddler Found With His Murdered Mothers Body Needs Your Help
My daughters sister Catherine Jackson, 29, was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in her home on January 12, 2018. The father of the child is the prime suspect but there is not enough evidence to prosecute him, and he is currently in jail on other charges. My daughters sister was the mother of four children and was eight months pregnant when she was murdered. My daughter was caring for two of her sisters children at the time of her death and now has the responsibility of raising her sisters youngest child. His name is Kody, he is 2 years old and he was in the home with his mother when she was murdered, and with his mother’s dead body for over 24 hours before her body was discovered. Kody was found covered in his mother’s blood, and with food items lying around her, which he was trying to give her to open for him because he was hungry. Kody had no idea his mother was dead, he thought she was sleeping. But, she had been shot in the head twice and her face was missing.
On a regular basis Kody keeps saying, “Can we go to mommy’s house”, “Daddy Shoot Momma, Pow Pow”, “Daddy Shoot Cathy”, and he also says, “Mommy was sleeping, and I was trying to wake her up”.
The children have not been handling the murder of their mother well. They continue to grieve, sometimes crying and not eating. The responsibility of raising a child is a huge financial responsibility and caring for Kody will not only require the basic needs of a child but an unfortunate Psychological effect that will require clinical assessments, and psychological assistance from a Psychologist to assist Kody in coping with the Trauma of his mother’s death, being with her dead body, and covered in his mother’s blood for an extended amount of time. There will be a significant cost. Please help us and the donations will be used for the betterment of Kody’s psychological, educational, and physical health.
