Payette Pirates praying for their injured brother. Keep the prayers flowing!
Today was an incredible day and one I will never forget. We wanted to get the boys back out on the diamond so we scheduled a 9 am practice. Steve met us at the field and talked to all the boys and gave them an update on Kodee's surgery and his condition. Shortly after Mindy called Coach Bratcher to give him an update and Kodee insisted on talking to the boys. Kodee really wanted to see everybody and that was cleared by his doctor. Kodee was also released from ICU which made having visitors a possibility. At 12:30 we piled all the boys in the van and we headed off to Boise. Shortly after we arrived Kodee was transferred out of ICU and all the boys took turns in groups of 2 - 3 visiting for just a few minutes. Kodee's quick recovery is truly a miracle, especially considering he had brain surgery to repair a major skull fracture just yesterday! Kodee still has a long recovery in front of him but he is a fighter and isn't going to settle for anything less than toeing the rubber and stepping into the batters box at Killebrew Field. Thank you so much for supporting Kodee and his family in this time of need! You are all so awesome!
