Koa Kares Foundation (Non Profit) Shelter, Educate and Inspire positive changes in youth and families.
Hello, my name is Koa Thomas; I am the CEO of the Koa Kristina Collection. As a child, I had dreams of opening a youth shelter to help local teens find a sanctuary in crisis. No teenage person (or anyone for that matter) should have to endure homelessness. At a young age I became a mom. I had to shift my mindset to take care of my child and work full time. Since then with the support of family and close friends in the community, I have obtained two degrees (BA & MA) and gained a substantial amount of knowledge and experience in managing a shelter for youth. I created this KICKSTARTER page so that you and others can donate to this great cause.
Koa Kares Foundation is a community based organization that will provide food, shelter and life skill services to homeless, runaway youth in the local community. Koa Kares foundation will also, include assisting the community with a food bank, providing families with meals during the holidays, mentoring and counseling services. We will also, actively work towards informing our participants of any opportunities that will help them excel such as assistance with applying for transitional housing, college and career readiness programs.
This KICKSTARTER will help fund the 501c3 application, obtaining an business certificate of incorporation, upfront costs for a kick start event, website, flyers, supplies and a host of other things that are needed to start a Non-Profit Organization.
I have the vision and now turn to you for your help. It takes a village; no donation is too small whether it be $5 or $100. It is all going towards a great cause.
