IUSB Entrepreneurial Fundraiser
Tax deductible
Hello Gorgeous! My name is Allison and I am an Entrepreneurial student at Indiana University's South Bend campus at the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics. I am a senior who was presented with the task of, not surprisingly, learning to run a business this semester in one of my classes! We were put into groups, each being given the same product to sell, and had to pick a charity, as well, whom we would donate all of our profits to. You may or may not know me when reading this, but I am a personable and passionate person who, when finding something I support, will invest in it fully. While my group and I are still working on selling our product for profits to donate, I, of course, want to do more! And that's where you can help!
Hello Gorgeous of Hope, located in South Bend, IN, was started by Kim and Michael Becker. After working in the salon industry for many years, they finally decided it was time for them to do more, and that's when they began Hello Gorgeous!. Simply put, as an organization, their purpose is to give make-overs to ALL women who have battled, are currently battling, or have been recently diagnosed with cancer, no matter what kind. What they really do is not only give these women confidence in themselves again by making them look and feel Gorgeous, but help them learn to accept themselves and teach them how to recreate their look to be able to constantly duplicate it and how it makes them feel. Their goal is to be able to give 500,000 women make-overs each year, and considering there were well over 7 million women with cancer in the year 2014, there is plenty that can be done to help them achieve this. They stay alive through donation and fundraising, so any effort is greatly appreciated!
I personally have contacted and met with the Beckers and know just how special these people are. In every e-mail I was greeted with their tagline of "Hello Gorgeous!" and in person they were simply just as much of a delight.
Whatever it is you can donate would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Our goal, as a group, would be to have $1000 raised for Hello Gorgeous within a month's time, and I know it's possible, people! However much you are willing and able to give will help this organization keep doing what great work it does. And, if you'd like to learn more about this organization, please see the attached links and videos I have posted. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for whatever you are able to do, even if it's just spreading the word. I know not only Kim and Michael would thank you, as well, but all the women whom can and will be helped with your generosity.
