My name is Tina Myers.  My ex-husband and the father of my 2 oldest children , Shawn (13) and Donavin (11) was one of the victims whom was recently murdered in the Colorado shootings on Halloween. We are extremely devastated by this news as you can imagine. Andrew was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. After we had our first child, he joined the US Army and we were sent to Germany, where we lived for 9 years. During that time we had our 2nd son and he served 3 combat tours in Iraq. At the end of our extended tour in Germany, we parted ways.  The children and I moved back to Ohio and Andrew moved to Colorado to his next duty station. After nearly 10 years in the military and with many awards and decorations, Andrew separated from the military and remained in Colorado. I, as his next of kin, and his children want nothing more than to be able to bring Andrew home and give him the proper services, burial, and respect that he deserves. As you can imagine this is going to cost a great deal of money.  The detective and the victims advocate at the Colorado police department have been very kind and are being very helpful. Tomorrow they are putting me in touch with a victims group that can hopefully help with a portion of the cost to fly him home. .  I will also be contacting our local VFW to see what they have to offer since he was a veteran. I am planning on going to Spear-Mulqueeny funeral home in Painesville tomorrow to see what I need to do to start getting him back home and laid to rest. Any amount of donations will help and be appreciated more than words can describe. Thank You in advance and God Bless. Please keep Andrew, our boys, and the 2 other victims in your prayers.  Thank You!

I want to thank everyone again for your donations and all of your thoughts and prayers for Drew, our boys, and our families. Drew's service and funeral was absolutely beautiful. Very sad but beautiful. He was buried with pride in his military dress uniform ( thank you to the Knigge family. They were able to get his uniform, name plates, awards, patches, dog tags, EVERYTHING) . There were so many people there, which just goes to show you what an amazing man Drew was and how many peoples hearts he has touched in his short lifetime. The color gaurd presented their honors and Pastor Kalb gave a very honorable service. There was not a dry eye in the room and every word he spoke was beautiful and heartfelt. On Friday Drew was layed to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetary. The funeral service was breathtaking. They really did a great job at honoring Drew and his service. Drew loved the military more than he loved himself. He always took so much pride in being a "squared away" soldier. We were able to go back later that day to his plot and see his temporary grave marker. His gravestone is ordered and should be in place around the middle of next month. Along with his name, tours of duty, and all of the basic info, I had the Seventh Day Adventist Church logo inscribed along with "Beloved Father. In God's hands and in our hearts" . This world is definitely missing out on something big now that Drew is gone. I'm still struggling to understand how something so horrible could happen to such an amazing person. Those of you who knew Drew , know just how special he was. Those of you who didn't get the pleasure of knowing him..... Imagine the kindest, greatest person that you know.. Multiply that by 100 and that is Drew. He loved so many people, and he was loved by so many. Thank you all again for everything. Please continue to keep Drew in your thoughts and prayers as he is watching over all of us. I would like to send thank you cards and a prayer card from his service to anyone who is willing to give me their address. You can email it to me at shawnmyers0225@gmail.com. I would also like to thank news channel 5 in Cleveland for finding his uniform that got lost in the mail. I also want to say a few things about the funeral home( Spear- Mulqueeny) that held Drew's services. They were amazing. I can't say enough about Jay Mulqueeny. From the first day I met with him until now he has been so kind and respectful. He kept in constant contact with me and kept me very up to speed on any and every detail throughout this whole process. My boys and i are so grateful for everyone that played a part on giving Drew exactly what he wanted and most importantly, what he DESERVED. I just wish this time would have come another 50 years from Now and not this soon.

First of all I would like to thank everyone so much who has made donations and/or kept our family in your thoughts and prayers during this awful time. It's really does help knowing that there are so many people out there who care so much. Family, friends, and even people who don't know us but are still supporting us. I can't even express how much your kindness means. After a very busy week I finally got all of the funeral arrangement made and we have all of the permits done and excepted to bring Drew's body back home. He will be arriving in Cleveland on Tuesday. Services for Andrew Alan Myers (11/12/1979-10/31/2015 will be held and Spear Mulqueeny funeral home on Thursday November 12th at 7PM. Calling hours are from 5-7PM. The funeral ceremony will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetary in Rittman, Ohio on Friday Nov 13th at 1PM. With the help of all of you, and an amazing gentleman by the name of Mike Swallow (NEOPAT), I am confident that Drew is going to have an amazing military service and funeral that he deserves. Thank you all again so much for what you are doing and I encourage everyone to look up more information on NEOPAT. This gentleman and organization are so kind and are treating us like family and do amazing things for many military families. With that said, if there is anyone on here or anyone that you know that has a picture of yourself and Drew or anything that you would like for me to put up at the funeral, please feel free to email me at shawnmyers0225@gmail.com
I will continue to post updates and pictures for all of you that are supporting us. I am sorry it took so long for this one, but it was just a very hectic week trying to get everything organized, but we are almost there. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KINDNESS.

As the mother to his 2 children and next of kin, she knew all his burial wishes, you discuss these things after 3 tours of duty. It doesn't matter how long they were divorced, they were still close

Andrew was a childhood friend. It's probably been close to 20 years since we connected. My heart aches for the family especially his boys. Such a senseless loss, and a life taken too soon!
