Ombre's Medical Expenses

It was a beautiful day Sunday when I took Ombre for  walk. We were getting close to home and he was attacked by a stray dog that came out of nowhere. There was no one around to help me and it took it all out of me. I tried everything I could to no avail. It’s the most helpless feeling to have. I was screaming for him to stop and crying. This dog was tearing my dog up. When I knew nothing I was going to do was going to work, something made me think of the stun gun I had at home, one I had obtained with points I had earned at my job and it was really the only thing I had enough points to get at the time. I was so out of breath I don’t even know how I ran down to my house to get it and come back. I’ve never used it and I didn’t have to use it then (although I would have), all I had to do was push that button and the sound made him stop and run away. By that time Ombre head was torn open all the way across and his ear and numerous other puncture wounds. The vet wasn’t open so I had to take him to the Emergency vet.

 

Poor Ombre has been through a lot, this isn’t the first time this has happened to him and he is such a sweet boy.. They had to do surgery right away or I would have to put him down. I love that boy with all my heart and I could not do that to him, but I didn’t have $1,300.00 either. This is where his medical expenses are at right now. A plan was worked out for me to recoup this money in the next 2 weeks. We have to go back in as he has drainage tubes in several places so I know it’s going to cost more.
