Help Me Live! (Life for Kitty Ku)

Donation protected
My name is Kitty Ku. Pronounced Koooo like in cool, which I totally am.

My humans love me so much that they're willing to translate all my meows to human speak so you can understand what I have to say, so here it goes!

They've given everything they can to help me get by, but they say I need some more monies to figure out why I'm so extremely anemic or I'll likely die. I'm currently taking antibiotics in hopes that they help me get by until I can do further testing and treatment. Please help me live and I promise I’ll keep making everybody who meets me happy as can be!

(If you are someone who likes to send monies using PayPal, you can do that too! Just write to my humans here on gofundme and they will help you help me!)

My story:

I didn’t have an easy start to life - I was the last born of all my siblings and because I was so small and came so late, nobody noticed me! I was left all alone on the cold cement at the brink of death. Luckily a nice lady found me there, warmed me up, and brought me back to life.

From that beginning I started my life as a feisty and playful little kitty, stalking through the grass and bushes, chasing lizards and birds at my Grass Valley, California home. I became best friends with all the humans and dogs living in the two houses on my property, and would regularly greet them with a fierce meow or ambitious leg tackle.

My second near death experience happened when I was just six months old and decided to play with one of those no-leg lizards with the shaky noisy tails. I didn’t know he was telling me to go away, so I tried to play with him and he got so angry that he bit me right on my face! I started to feel really weird, and went to my human friends for help. I must have looked funny because when I found them and gave a big meow hello, they seemed like they didn’t even recognize me. They quickly figured out what had happened and I got to take my first car ride ever, all the way to a place in Auburn California where doctors poked and prodded and looked at me all over. I barely made it, but after a long dark night of sweating and shaking, I started to feel better. This was my second second chance, and I wasn’t going to waste it!

As soon as I felt strong again I was more playful, happy, spunky, and loving than ever. I also decided it was time to finally start my career as a collage artist, because you never know how much time you have to do those kinds of things.

Eventually I became a bit of an Instagram star, and was the mascot of the fyxx Art collective. I loved being with my humans all the time, and would show them how I felt by reaching my little arm out and softly touch their faces. Even though I have sharp, long claws, I was always very careful not to hurt my favorite people. Our happy lives together went on, dancing, playing, laughing, and creating together.

I even got a girlfriend, and we wrestled and played hide and seek every day.

One day I started to feel sick though, and got really bad diarrhea and threw up a lot. My humans were very concerned and took me to the poking doctors again. The doctors thought I should try eating different food for a while, but that didn’t help so they gave me medicine. It tasted so gross that my humans had to wrap me in a towel twice day for months just to get me to eat it. Yuck!

But the medicine didn’t help either, so I went back to the doctors for a different kind. I took this other medicine for a while but I was feeling worse than ever so they took me back again, and this time the doctors decided to test my blood. What they found was that I barely had any blood at all! They say I’m something called uh-nee-mik and need to have some more tests done to figure out why or I might not live very long.

My humans love me so much but they don’t have enough monies to pay for the expensive tests and treatments. Please help them save my life so I can keep making them and the world happy with my little meow and giant heart.
