Kirk Wilson was one of the kindest and gentlest souls you would ever encounter.  We sadly lost Kirk today to a tragic incident.  We are asking for you to support his wife and two children, ages 6 and 7.

Heaven just became a better place. Rest in peace Kirk - You will be missed greatly and will never be forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far to Kirk's family. The family is greatly appreciative of the love and support at this time.

I worked with Kirk for 11 years at Rogers Cup. I set up this account with the permission of his wife and family to support and assist them through this difficult time. They will be receiving all of the funds from this campaign.

Kirk's wife and family want to say thank you for all the continued support and love everyone has been sending their way. She really appreciates each and every one of you and also asks everyone to respect their privacy during this time.

In addition, this is to let everyone know that 5% of funds go to gofundme, but the remaining amount will go to the family.

I want to leave a comment just to shed some light on the motivation and goals for this campaign which I am not associated with creating. Some of you have questioned the amount and purpose of the funds I encourage you to privately debate to yourself what the campaign will support. At this time we know that an income has been lost, a family is grieving a family member who is miles away, the event itself created complications for the family we could never imagine. Gofundme has always been a very reputable and voluntary platform for donation. If God forbid you were in the situation the Wilson's are facing no dollar amount could ease your pain. I find the goal to very humble and I feel the Gofundme community will surpass it. Do not think twice about this campaign.

Kirk is my niece's husband and the father of their two beautiful children; and he really was the nicest person anyone could ever meet. He was kind, gentle and a loving father and husband. He cared about everyone and really was the 'gentle giant'. My family will never recover from this and if you can help his family. His two children adored him and he adored them. I am sure his last thought was of his two adoring little children. If you can help this family, please do so.

This is amazing! I hope there's no cap on this. Not sure about Kirk's family's financial situation...but I do know my husband as a stuntman and security personnel is near impossible to insure...I hope we blow the hell out of this goal!!! ❤❤❤

A lot of people seem to be questioning the 100k amount. Think about the cost of repatriating Kirk for a Canadian burial. Then the funeral costs. There's the lost income his family will have to face. Most importantly, the children will need some sort of trust fund for school etc. when they grow up. There's no need for skepticism here, 100k is a modest amount to make up for such a huge loss.

Kirk was an amazing person and truly loved his job. He died doing what he loved, which was to protect people. To those questioning why 100k just so you know flying back a body from another country for burial is not as cheap as flying back with a normal return air flight. I pray the money collected will help your family bring you back home and give you a final goodbye the way you deserve it, with the highest tributes and honor. R.I.P Kirk and my prayers go out to your family!

What relation is the organizer to KW? Where is the statement from family or lawyer acknowledging they will be getting all the funds except fees? A $100 grand is a lot of cash. This info should be there from the beginning.

My heart is still aching. I was in Playa and just talking to Kirk about the good old days at Toronto nightclubs. Was joking with him and asking him to come to india to do security. Such a terrible tragedy, my heart goes out to his wife and kids especially. I just left Playa today and last night they had a silent protest and candies were laid out infront of the blue parrot. RIP Kirk, heaven just got a new angel.
