"King" Arthur Medical Fund

"King" Arthur Bennett has been a part of Church Under the Bridge for 3 years now!  He is the most caring individual on the streets of Midland.  On a regular basis the team from Church Under the Bridge will check on him and make sure he is doing okay.  The lifestyle of those who live on the streets can take a toll on ones body.  King Arthur has lived on the streets for many of years all while having diabetes and cateracts.
He has never asked us for anything.  He simply just wants to make people smile.  He has touched the lives of many people in our community.
The night of July 15th, 2016, King Arthur was jumped by and unknown individual.  Arthur stands 5'0 tall and 103 lbs, he does not pose a threat to anyone.  He was left laying in the alley where he was found with 4 broken ribs, a black eye, and could hardly breathe.
After taking him to the hospital on July 16th, King Arthur has taken a turn for the worse.  He is currently in critical condition at Midland Memorial Hospital with an infection so bad that he has been heavily sedated allowing his body to relax.  On July 18th, the doctors will try and slowly take him off of the sedation medicine to see how his body reacts.  We are praying for a miracle.

All proceeds raised will go towards paying for his medical bills and hopefully once he recovers we can afford to put him into a facility that will encourage sobriety and help with his diabetes and get him back on the right track of living a healthy lifestyle.
