Hi! My name is Kindra Roy! I'm a 31 year old stay at home mom of 3 beautiful girls and have been married to the man of my dreams for almost 9 years! In September of 2013 I was diagnosed with a rare auto immune disease Neuromylitis Optica ( http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/neuromyelitis_optica/neuromyelitis_optica.htm). First noticeable symptoms started about 6 years ago. I had a bad experience with an epidural for my daughter and it seemed to trigger something. That's when I started going numb etc. Over the course of the past 6 years I slowly have gotten to where I use a cane or a walker. Day to day tasks can be very challenging but praise God I have an awesome support system.

This particular doctor has done this procedure on many patients diagnosed with the same thing as me, all which are 9 month plus post op. All which have been successful! All which have completely reversed and have no more symptoms! This doctor is located in Chicago!
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions and lots of prayer! After many phone calls and exchanging of paperwork with the doctors office, I received a phone call today that I have an appointment for my consultation to start the process! I will travel to Chicago a few times and will have to reside there for a few weeks when I'm doing the actual transplant. So as you know, this can be very costly. Between traveling expenses, co-pays etc.
Please be in prayer with me, agreeing that everything will go according to God's plan for me! I'm excited, scared, etc. so emotional! I will have to be away from my kids and from my husband at most points. I know God is control and want more than anything to give Him glory!
