Kim Turner & Family

Kim Turner, more endearingly known as Miss Kim, tragically passed away late last week. Miss Kim brought warmth and joy to everyone around her and instilled a culture of kindness at Dynamite Gymnastics Center, where she worked for the past five years. She was a mentor, confidante, friend and mother to her own six children as well as the nearly one hundred staff members and thousands of children who walked through Dynamite’s door. Whether it was guiding co-workers through personal issues, helping students find their nametags, disbursing enthusiastic hugs, or applying a band-aid to a camper, Miss Kim exuded positivity and compassion. As one parent put it, “I felt safe if I was running a few minutes late because I knew Miss Kim would watch over my daughter.”

Kim’s youngest daughter began attending classes when Kim joined Dynamite and now, at age 10, is a star on the cheerleading team. Miss Kim attended every competition, cheering on Camille and her teammates. Kim and Camille shared a special bond—it was unusual to see one without the other.

Even in death, Miss Kim helped dozens of strangers as an organ donor. Miss Kim’s spirit will live on as her kind smile and thoughtful actions echo in the hearts of the thousands she touched.

This memorial fund serves to help Miss Kim’s family with medical and burial costs as well as the continued support of her children. More importantly, it allows those of us who were profoundly impacted by Miss Kim to return her gift of kindness.
