Needing bypass surgery

Were to start. I need knee replacement surgery but they won't do it till have lost 65 lbs. I have been making many lifestyle changes like stopped smoking, no soda, and no more coffee drinks. I am starting to loose the weight. I really need to loose much more then the 65. I have decided on a gastric bypass surgery. It will help me achieve my goals. It still takes a lot of work on my part. It will help my overall health, like my out of control blood pressure. And it in the long run let me live longer and maybe someday see grandkids. I have been doing all the prep for this surgery with dietitian and my primary doctor's and a counselor. I'm almost ready for my appt. With the surgeon. I do have medical insurance but the doctor wants the 20% that I pay on my plan upfront before surgery and $450 on my first appt. For labs and counseling and such. The surgery is about $6500.00 before my insurance pays there portion. I'm trying to save for this but living day to day gets in that way. Very uncomfortable doing this but I'm pretty much out of options. If you could donate a dollar or Two, I would be that much to the reality of this surgery
