I have been working for three months on a KidWind Renewable Energy Challenge coaching 7 teams at Adams Spanish Immersion a St. Paul Public School. On Saturday April 16 2016 I had 2 of my teams place 2nd and 3rd in our tournament. These two teams (The Knock Outs 2 girls and 1 boy all 5th grader and Kitty Wind all 4th grade girls) have earned the honor to advance on to the National tournament in New Orleans on May 23, 2016.
I need to raise $4000. to help cover the cost of the trip to the National competition. These students had to study renewable energy both the positives and the negatives, where is a good place to build a wind farm and why. Along with how does a wind turbine work. We built a wind turbine, a solar boat and a sail car.
KidWind has been an amazing experience and now several of these 8 students are considering a career in Engineering. Please help me raise the funds I need to make this opportunity a reality.
