Kids4Seniors was founded by 10 year old Giavonna Antonucci. Inspired by a Disney commercial that encouraged kids to make a change in their community, Gia decided she wanted to help the lonely seniors she visited when she went to work with her mom who is a Dementia Care Specialist. Gia often spent her summers volunteering in senior communities and was drawn to the seniors she says “looked so sad.” It was always her mission to make them smile and she really began to understand how her visits uplifted their spirits and wanted to get other kids involved to make more of a change. When researched Gia discovered nearly half of seniors living alone suffer from loneliness. Loneliness in seniors causes depression and can even increase mortality rate.
So far Gia has volunteered over 100 hours herself and has partnered with The Neil Hirsh Boys & Girls Club in Wellington, FL and has had over 50 kids make multiple visits to Brookdale Senior Living Communities. Gia is the recipient of Disney’s “Kids For Change” grant and received $500 from YSA in which she bought t-shirts for the kids and provided some amazing programs like our Walker/Wheelchaur wash, our Intergenerational Space Theme Game Day, Puzzle tournaments, and much more. Gia is working towards making this a National Program and we need your help to get us their. Giving back to our seniors wont only help them but makes such an impact on the kids volunteering in our program.


Our mission is to create Intergenerational Programs in hopes of reducing senior loneliness.
In return we have realized that the kids who participate in our programs are learning kindness, compassion, empathy, and the benefits of community service!
