Kickin’ Homelessness to the Curb

In 2009, Peter & Paul Community Services(PPCS), an ecumenical agency, which provides housing and supportive services to persons who are homeless, founded St. Louis’ first homeless street soccer team; the St. Louis Roadies. The team helps those who have been homeless connect with others in their community, who assist players with supportive services. The experience of being part of a team renews one’s sense of self-esteem and empowers participants to change their lives for the better.  Over 150 homeless adults have played on the St. Louis Roadies since the club was established, with more than two thirds ending their homelessness for good.

As a student at St. Dominic High School, I’m excited to organize “Kickin’ Homelessness to the Curb”; a charity soccer match to raise money and awareness for the homeless in the greater St. Louis region.

The game will be at 7pm on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the St. Dominic Gym (31 St. Dominic Drive; O'Fallon, MO 63366).  The indoor futsal style game will feature St. Dominic students playing along side the St. Louis Roadies. 

Kickin’ Homelessness to the Curb is FREE to everyone, but your donations through this GoFundMe page are greatly appreciated and will be paid directly to Peter and Paul Community Services.
