On Saturday, March 25th, 2017, Franklin (WI) Police Department Detective Kevin Liermann unexpectedly and tragically passed away at the age of 39.

Kevin was a 17 year veteran of the department. He served in numerous roles in the department, including being a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Evidence Technician, Defense and Arrest Tactics Instructor, and SWAT Team member. He spent the last four years as a Detective. Kevin was known as a "cop's cop" and was beloved in the local law enforcement community. He will be sorely missed.

Kevin was a pillar of the community who would do anything to help someone. He was known for his infectious laugh and smile and friendly demeanor. Kevin volunteered his time to facilitate the Police/Fire spaghetti dinner, which was a fundraiser to benefit local families in need. He was also heavily involved in the local "Shop With A Cop" program, which assists less fortunate children in buying Christmas gifts for their family members.

Kevin leaves behind his wife Jennifer and his daughters, Isabelle (12) and Emma (10). This fund is being established to raise money for future educational expenses for Isabelle and Emma as well as other expenses that the family may incur.
