My Dearest Friends and Family,

Hi I am Deborah Kimmett ---

I am raising money for a Fundraiser for Kensington Hospice.

In 2013, my brother was diagnosed with a terminal Stage 4 gliobastoma Brain Tumour .He was the healthiest of the bunch. He had two kids and a hard life with a sick child.

This didn't seem fair.

But in a time of loss ( he lost the job, the health, the balance, the eyesight and he also lost his worry.

I am writer and actor who has a written a show about our last year, together

As he lost his ability to walk and talk, he taught me of love.  True, undying love.

The funds you contribute here will cover fixed costs for my new one woman show The Year of The Suddenly- so that all tickets sales can be donated to Kensington Hospice.

( I am on the blonde on the left and he is the one in the bow tie)

During his illness we got  let go of our previous ideas about each other and became so close as brother and sister. We laughed, forgave, did a few F- you's and gave up the idea of who we thought were.

This story is not a cancer story as much as a story of sibling love.

Please help me get this story out to the world.

"Kimmett is funny as hell...touching and able to be honest about subjects that no one else touches."  Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

"Kimmett is one of the most honest comics out there." Steve Patterson. The Host of The Debaters.

"Appreciation is a softer kinder word. If I can't appreciate all that life has given me then who am I? I have been lucky." These were the words of my brother, a brother I got to know in a new way in the last 3 years of his life. This is why I wrote the play, The Year of The Suddenly.. ....and this monologue is no Tuesdays With Morrie, I can tell you that. Things got hard, really hard. But its raw and funny and messy. And I am so grateful for those of you that have been patrons and have supported the production of this work. Yay, you!
