Kerry Chambers (local hero)

Kerry Chambers was the witness shot in connection to the Thomasville robbery at Avis Jewelers. He is a true hero who risked his life to help catch the robbers. He was delivering jewelry around 12:45pm and just happen to pull up during the robbery. He sees them run out after sitting in his truck on a phone call. Immediately calls 911 and follows them. Unfortunate the men notice him following him, which lead into Kerry getting shot in his face. Kerry was shot with a 9mm in his left cheek that did quite a bit of damage. However he is stable at the hospital but in pain. We are just happy to say he is alive and the 3 young robbers are off the streets. The officers recovered $206K worth of jewelry that was taken from Avis Jewelers.
Kerry will have tons of medical bills, dental work, and not to mention being out of work due to this. Anything helps. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers.
