It is with a very heavy heart that a Go Fund Me page has been set up for the Kernaghan family, due to the loss of both Doug and Avery Kernaghan.
On February 10th, 2018, the Mount Brydges community was dealt with a devasting blow. The news of the tragic accident involving Doug and Avery Kernaghan has hit us all very hard.
During these very difficult times, a strong community comes together to support one another.
Avery was a shining light in this world, who was tragically taken too early. Her fierce nature and contagious smile, will be embedded in our memories for a lifetime.
As an active member in the Figure Skating and Synchronized Skating community, words cannot begin to express the great loss we have all felt in our family. Avery loved her teammates. Avery loved performing. Avery loved Mount Brydges Magic Blades. Avery loved her Coach, Chrissy Kernaghan. Avery loved to skate.
The Synchronized Skating Family mourns with the Mount Brydges Community tonight, as we all feel this tragic loss in our hearts.
We pray for Mathew, and his hockey community, who also wraps their arms around this incredible family with all their love and support at this time.
A collection has begun for the Kernaghan Family to aid with some of the expenses that will be incurred during the family's time in the hospital with Doug, and during their time of need. As a community, we hope that we can help elevate any financial burden, to make the next few weeks for the Kernaghan family a little lighter.
We thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, they are being heard.

It is with a very heavy heart, that we share the news of Doug Kernaghan. On Tuesday March 27th, 2018, Doug Kernaghan passed away peacefully, with his wife Chrissy by his side.
Funeral arrangements will be communicated soon. We continue to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers
