Kenya House Building Trip

In partnership with The Greatness Foundation and Gathimba Edwards Foundation , we are excited to offer you a chance to be part of a team that will build homes and lay the foundations to a brighter future for kids in Kenya.

Who: The first 10 people who sign up, will join us to build homes for families in need. Read about the families here .

What: A trip to Kenya for volunteers who wish to build homes for families in need!

Where: Karatina, Kenya - East Africa

When: October 7th - October 19th, 2017


Every donation helps and goes towards:

• An experienced staff that provides logistics, set-up, guidance and interpreters.
• Construction materials, equipment, and every other needed element to build a house that will become home to children and their families who currently have dirt-floors and no electricity.



1) For those interested in joining us, the trip is very SAFE.  Your stay, all meals and expenses are covered in your $1,500 donation (Early-bird pricing). What's not included: alcohol, mandatory travel insurance, incidentals, airfare.


2) After your booking is confirmed, you'll receive all the information you need to prepare for the trip: packing list, detailed itinerary, and more. You are responsible for booking your own travel to Nairobi, Kenya.


3) Everyone will have an opportunity to build the homes, and witness the 'home openings' when the families see their new homes for the first time and move in. Everyone also will get the chance to visit  and engage with the children and families in the community. Last, but not least, everyone will get the chance to visit David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage!

4) No experience is necessary! All you need is a big heart and a positive attitude and smile :)

DONATION LEVELS: 

Provide Food for Kids: $100 
This donation pays for two goats for a family in need.  By providing a family with two goats, you’ll provide them with a steady supply of milk and meat. A dairy goat can provide up to 16 cups of milk per day, ensuring that the children don’t go hungry. Furthermore, when the goats give birth, the families can sell the younger goats to earn income which will pay for essentials (school fees, books, medicine, etc).


Support the Families: $500 
This donation supports families in need - providing them with clean water (we will dig a well) and gifts them with two goats and chickens, ensuring that they will no longer go hungry.  

Join the Build: $1,500
This donation secures your spot (there is only room for 10!) on the trip to Kenya in October. 

Game Changer: $2,500  
This donation covers construction materials, and provides a scholarship spot for someone to join the build.
