Wonderful Father Gone to Soon

Kenneth A Pfrenger passed away Sunday, June 5th, 2016. Many of you know Kenny from his many musical adventures. Some of you know him from his Martial Arts Expertise. But it probably didn't take you long to know what a funny, caring, loving and devoted husband and father he was. His kids adored him and he adored being their father. Kenny and Shannon's love was real in the worest of times and the best of times. They proved that sometimes all you need is love and your family. Kenny loved music, playing bass, food, Martial Arts and was passionate in all he did. Please help Shannon, Kaylia, Abigail, Chelsea, Sophia and Angus with these unexpected expenses. My uncle passed away way to soon leaving his wife, Shannon and their children with the burden for burial expenses they are not prepared for. Even the smallest of donations will help in the biggest way. Thank you and love!

I am shocked and amazed at how quick we got to the half way point. You guys have been truly amazing. Here is an update from Shannon.

Good morning everyone.

An official obituary is posted on the funeral home's website. I had one hell of a time remembering everything I needed to, so between my foggy brain and terrible proofreading skills, I am sure I've omitted, misspelled and otherwise completely fuddled up something. Huge apologies to everyone if that is the case.

We had Ken cremated so there will be no viewing, but there are calling hours from 5-7 this Friday night at Baumgardener's Funeral Home in Kinsman Ohio. We are a pretty laid back, rowdy group, my gals, Angus and I, so if you are able to make it, please don't feel like you need to dress up. Be comfortable! It will help us all be not so nervous.

There are no formal services, but after calling hours, friends and family who knew and loved Ken are invited and encouraged to stay and speak a bit, tell us all something special or crazy or hilarious, and celebrate exactly who he was.

For everyone who cannot make it, please, please know that our family is just so very touched by the outpouring of love, respect and warmth we've experienced the past few days. It is very comforting to me, knowing that he was always surrounded by so many wonderful people. Thank you all.

I will always remember Ken for his deep enthusiasm for boxing and pugilism, but also as someone who had a wide array of interests (does anyone else remember that Highland cow?), who was always ready to teach and to laugh, and who loved his family to pieces. RIP.
