Kelvin T Reid  TULSA, OK
My name is Kelvin Reid aka UltraCowboy. I'm an ultra runner with five 100 miles races completed in two years. In June 2016, when I was running the Mohican 100 race in Ohio, I fell and hit my head hard. After that my fingers and my right hand started to lose strength and I started to lose muscle mass in my right arm. Next, I started to slur my speech and have problems swallowing. After 4 different doctors and multiple tests I was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrigs Disease. I am accepting donations for future medical bills and traveling expenses that may be needed while looking for a cure. These donations would ease my stress and worrying about all the bills that my health insurance does not cover. I appreciate any donations that you would be able to contribute. Your support and encouragement mean so much to me! God bless you.

Ok people I need $800 more dollars to pay for my Bangkok trip for treatment. This is not a cure but it can slow this terrible disease down and in some cases patients show improvement. Please don't think just because I almost have enough for this treatment that I don't need more. There will still be on going doctor bills. So please help me in this fight for my life.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your inquiry to our center. This is Mary Wang, the assistant for Dr. Like Wu, and I am taking care of the inquiry from the patients. Dr. Like Wu is the chief neurologist of Wu Stem Cells Medical Center. Dr. Wu has very rich clinical experience in stem cell treatment field. In the past 7 years we had treated more than 3000 patients from all over the world with significant treatments outcomes, among those patients, there are many patients suffered from ALS and after our comprehensive treatment, most of them showed good improvement. After the analysis and discussion from Dr. Wu and other specialists, we give you the information as below for your reference.

ALS is a kind of degenerative disease occurred in motor nerves. Its progression is very fast. Genetic mutation in both upper and lower motor neurons leads to gradual decrease of motor nerve cells, gradual increase of amyotrophic and muscle weakness until complete paralyses. It will also affect patients' swallowing function and respiratory function, patient's exercise tolerance will be affect, so our doctors recommend him to reduce his exercise to make his motor nerves have rest. Conventional medicine is not effective to treat this disease because motor nerve cells can not be regenerated once they are damaged or dead. Using the unique and cutting-edge stem cell technology in our center, we have treated many ALS patients with satisfactory outcome.

Our treatment purpose is to increase the number of motor nerve cells, repair damaged motor nerves, and replace the lost motor nerve cells by newly implanted neural stem cells with normal gene. So his motor function will be improved. Our treatment can stop the disease progressing and recover his motor function.

Based on you details, and our doctors' experience, our hospital will use 2 kinds of stem cells to treat his disease for the best effect:
1. Neural Stem Cells (NSCs): can be differentiated into functional motor nerve cells, increase the number of normal motor nerve cells, repair the damaged nerve cells and initiate motor nerve replacement.
2. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs): can improve immunity, endocrine and nutritional functions to facilitate the process of repairing the damaged nerve cells and initiating nerve replacement.
Wu Medical Center (WMC) owns unique in-vivo stem cell technology expressing, controlling, differentiating and positioning to allow the neuro-reconstruction in an optimized internal environment by using various medications. Our treatment also includes rehabilitation therapy which uses biological feedback technology that plays an important role in strengthening the rebuilding motor neural network.
This treatment needs two weeks, based on our experience, after two weeks' treatment, he will obtain following improvements:
1. Speak clear and louder, he will speak fluently.
2. Muscle power of upper limbs will be improved, he will raise right arm higher and easier, his hands will grasp objects easier, his fingers will do fine movements better, his exercise tolerance will be improved.
With this progress, it indicates the progression of ALS has been stopped, the repairing of motor neuron has been started, the replacement for cells has been initiated and the treatment effect for ALS is appeared. With the growth up of the cells, in future three months to six months, function of motor nerve cells will be much better.
Before he leave our hospital, Dr. Wu and the other doctors will summarize his treatment progress of these days, and guide him with further treatment for next three to six months after he back home, which is benefit to his rehabilitation.
The cost of the two weeks treatment is USD$18,000 covering a patient room (allowing the patient and 1-2caregiver to stay), three times stem cell injections, each time including NSCs (Neural Stem Cells) and MSCs (Mesenchymal Stem Cells) injections, medications treatment, nursing care, all necessary lab tests, daily rehabilitation training and guided shopping/laundry services. Food and meals are not included.
Suggestion: The evaluation is based on his current condition, ALS is a progressive disease, so if he failed in coming within 2 months our hospital will evalaute his condition again to decide if he is still suitable for this treatment.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regard
Mary
