Kelsey Gibson's Medical Care

Kelsey is the daughter of Jerry and Carmella Gibson and the oldest sister to Hailey and Kegan. She is a Grandville, MI graduate and a 23 year old pre-Med student at Grand Valley State University.
On January 29th 2013, Kelsey was in a near fatal car accident near her home. She was in the Spectrum Health critical care unit for over four weeks and has had multiple surgeries. While she is 100% cognitive, the accident has left her disabled, essentially trapped without the ability to talk or the use of her limbs.
The continued rise of critical medical care costs, delays with insurance reimbursements along with the DENIAL of Social Security Disability Benefits, have made life a bit more difficult for the Gibson family both financially and emotionally.
By the grace of God, Kelsey's strong will and determination to beat the odds and the power of your prayers, she continues to work her way back through exhaustive, almost daily therapy, never giving up and always working hard.
As the entire Gibson family works diligently to get the necessary care that Kelsey needs and make the many many sacrifices they do, we thought it might not be an awful idea to see if we can ask the support of our family and friends.
