School Tour of Kelly's Hollywood

Hi, my name is Brian Donovan and I made a documentary about my little sister Kelly, who had Down syndrome and dreamed of becoming a Hollywood diva.

It's been incredibly well received around the country and last summer played on the Jumbotron at the Special Olympic World Games here in Los Angeles, CA.

I've also had the pleasure of screening the film at schools and speaking afterward about believing in yourself and how important personal dreams are no matter who you are.

Unfortunately, too many schools are seriously underfunded (as we all know), and can't afford these type of enrichment programs that are so valuable to their student's growth and sense of well-being...which is why I'm here now. I'm looking for funds to tour Kelly's Hollywood to schools around the country so I can offer the event to them for free.

Your donation will be used immediately (for events in Chicago later this month), a few schools in LA in May,  and in the fall with tentative dates in Pittsburgh, Boston, Washington DC, Portland...the more money that comes in the more I can do. And if you would like to request your city/school, please let me know :)

Watching my sister's extraordinary ripple in the world continue with the film and the effect it has had on  students has been profound. Here are a few quotes:

“It made me want to be a better sibling, a better person.”
Jonathan, student at Torres HS, East Los Angeles

"This movie made me feel more than any I've ever seen."
Theresa, student at Kirtland Elementary School, Ohio

“My 15 year old son came home from school raving about this documentary! The next morning he said, ‘I can’t stop thinking about it--I’ve never felt so many different emotions watching something.’ Kelly’s Hollywood changed his life...my son is forever inspired.”
MaryJo, Mother of a Ryan, ‘Your typical 15 year old.’

“Bring this film to your school! It will change your student’s lives and remind them what is worth living for and who.”
Jennifer Moles, Director of Special Education Cleveland School District

"One of the most profound love stories ever. Brian spoke to our students after and has the uncanny ability to genuinely connect and share his outlook--casting a ‘feel-good’ spell on all!”
Linda Spillman, Vice Principal of St. John the Baptist School, New York

Thank you for your donations! If you would like to know more about the film and/or request an event in your town/school, please reach out. www.kellyshollywood.com
